These capacitors are housed in cylindrical aluminum cans with a high-quality rubber deck, achieving low ESR using highly conductive polymer (PEDOT/PSS). The polymer system constructs an electrical pathway between the anodic oxide layer and the cathode through a mechanical separator paper. The winding is impregnated with a liquid electrolyte that enables the self-heating features of the oxide film layer or dielectric of the capacitor.
